Well despite all the gay ribbing going on and the torrential rain, we had a great time!!! Well worth the trip down!
Meetings were well organized and went off great I think.. Kudos to all the officers and volunteers that made it happen!!

I'm glad someone got some pics.. For as many trips as I can remember I end up in run run run mode trying to get pics.. I didn't even take the camera out of the bag and had a MUCH better time..

As sucky as the rain seemed.. At least it wasn't 100 degrees out there.. I don't think it really slowed anyone down to much.. Everyone was a just a bit more careful in the slick looking spots.. Of course those of you that had to stick the doors back on and put the tops up may have had some naughty words.. But I typically keep the windows up and the AC on anyway. Makes for a very clean wheeling enviroment..

Had bits of carnage here and there.. Bent and busted tie rods, blown lockers, etc.. A few problems on the newest "expiremental" buggy in the club.. That setup is neat as all get out.. Had a guy (not in our group) dump a Kawasaki Mule over the edge of Don's 101 and get pinned in it for about an hour.. He'd managed to get a call up to the office and told BJ about it, but the guy didn't have a clue where he was.. TJMedic got word of it and we played tag team CB trying to get to him.. BJ and his guys had just got him out of the Mule when we got there.. Was a little bumped up, BP was a bit low, but I think he was Ok.. Don't think I've ever ran Buckhorn quite that fast before.. From Squid's to the end of 101 in about 5 minutes..

I liked the Rain Wheeling, makes a few things more interesting.

Had no major breakage, pissed of the drivers door for a minute and got some bark in the tires from a tree. Busted one of the Hellas up front.

We had a great time. Many thanks to everyone who worked to pull this off! Thanks to Justin and Rob for leading us around. Looney did a great job of spotting on some tough hills. Glad we got talked into going up Can Opener, that was great. I believe Amy is now addicted to rocks. Sorry Neal :fear: We're ready to go back and run some 4s now. :headbang:

This next batch of pics is on Can Opener. That was fun!

If you're going to break your tie rod on the trial... go ahead and royally f### it up

Image

HUGE props to JOMBO @ MSUBRIAN for busting their asses to help with the rather uwieldy swap.... and more HUGE props to mudskipper (AKA Rockskipper, his new nickname after watching him dance across the rocks on Gregs Rocks) for carrying a spare TJ Tie Rod (or two).

FYI... I am doing the ZJ replacement...1" solid stock. Mudskipper has requested the replacement tie rod used in my rescue be placed in the club trailer to save others. I owe that dude a bucket of beers...and I'm pretty sure I won't be the only one

So how did the 1-ton CJ do? Or did it not make its debute?

Good pics by the way guys. I had my fun on my fourwheeler for the first time in 6 month and had just as much fun.

The "Unintentional" did fine until it bent the track bar. One a one-link setup, it shifted the entire front system to the driver's side about 6-8" Last I heard they were fabricating a new track bar Saturday night. Not sure how it performed after that.

I'm a nostalgic guy and my heart sinks seeing a damn near perfect CJ this time last year get cut up....but....Reuben did tell me once when he gets his mind on something he goes ALL out and that has to be one of the sickest suspension setups I've ever seen! Now I can't wait to see what the rest of the plans are for the newest MSJ "buggy"
